Meet Golf Ambassador Lyn Tieck

Lyn Tieck started playing golf over thirty years ago when she first attended a golf clinic and got a buzz for the sport. She has been playing ever since.

Originally from Sydney, NSW Lyn has lived in Alice Springs for the past 10 Years. Playing off a handicap of 13, Lyn and her friends have travelled all over Australia and Bali playing the game they love most.

Lyn is the 2018 Ambassador for Golf and has been affiliated with the Alice Springs Masters Games since she moved to Alice. Lyn has won several medals at the Alice Springs Masters Games as well as representing Alice Springs at the Sports Ministers Cup City vs Country.

When asked what she enjoys about the Games Lyn said

“It is just so friendly! I enjoy meeting new people and showing off our beautiful golf course! We are in full swing with countless training sessions being held at the 19th hole.”

“It is important that women continue to play sport and Golf is such a great game that all able bodies can be part of!”

Lyn is also working with the Alice Springs Golf Club on a program called Swing Fit. This is a program specifically designed to entice more women to start playing golf.
